Honeymoon in Cabo

After the wedding, Hay and I headed out to LAX where we stayed the night and left early the next morning for Cabo in Mexico. It was a beautiful place to be! On the drive from the airport to the resort, I think I told Hay about 8 times how pretty the mountains were. She will need to get used to that from me!

We stayed at the Melia Cabo Real. It was so nice! We had a beach front room and it had a little balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean. The best part is that the room had awesome air conditioning-- it was really hot and sticky down there!

We enjoyed some nice meals, a big pool with a swim-up bar, and some relaxing after many weeks and months of busy planning and hard work on the wedding. They had a yummy restaurant that we had to make reservations for each night. It was well worth it-- our unanimous favorite was the Oriental restaurant. They had delicious entrees that we added several rolls of sushi to. During the day, we ate at the regular buffet that was open all day. It was pretty good, but fairly repetitive. They did have sushi there too! They also had ice cream. It was a great place to be.

We didn't spend too much time at the beach because it was scorching hot and because the ocean isn't very swimmable there. They did have an area that was sheltered by some rocks that we swam in for a bit. The sand was nice and we had a good time when we went to play at the beach or for a nice walk.

It was a wonderful way to start our marriage and to relax after the wedding and before school. We were sad when it had to end and we had to come back to 'real life' in America!
