Today, Memorial day, was spent fleeing the country rather
than celebrating its goodness. We were dropped off at the airport very early so
that George Benson, our ride, could get back to the Ward Memorial Day picnic.
We flew from CVG to ATL, then ATL to MIA. I found it ironic that the first time
I have been back to the Atlanta airport was going back to Argentina. (Remember,
on the way back from my mission I left a box with all my mission journals and
scriptures on the tram in ATL, and the box was miraculously found and mailed
back to me a year later). I was sure to hold on tight to my belongings! From
MIA we flew to Santiago, Chile and then to Buenos Aires. The travel time just
to get to Argentina was about 24 hours and needless to say we were very eager
to get to our destination. In the name of economical travel though, we chose
endless connections for a cheap flight.
